
Local police have laid charges after seven different drugs and a weapon were recovered in a Pembroke drug bust.
The OPP says Wednesday morning (February 3, 2021) officers executed a search warrants at a residence on Elizabeth Street North in Pembroke and arrested two people.
Officers seized a quantity of suspected Hydromorphone pills, Purple Fentanyl, Cocaine, Crystal Methamphetamine, Methamphetamine (Speed) pills, codeine pills and Xanax as well as a conducted energy weapon (Taser) and items typically associated with drug trafficking.
36 year old Cory McGivern of Pembroke is facing six charges for possession with the purpose of trafficking. 32-year-old Koreelin Wentzell of Pembroke is facing four drug trafficking related offences.
The accused were both held in custody and had a court appearance yesterday (Thursday, February 4th) .
