A Renfrew County delegation met with the Minister of Health during the virtual Rural Ontario Municipalities Association Conference (ROMA), held earlier this week.
Participants from the County’s Health Committee advised Minister and Deputy Premier Christine Elliott about the importance of the Renfrew County Triage and Assessment Centre (RC VTAC), while local MPP John Yakabuski sat in.
In the coming days, the County of Renfrew has pledged to develop a comprehensive information package for the government representatives.
Health Committee Chair and Admaston-Bromley Mayor Michael Donohue notes that RC-VTAC can play a valuable role in servicing the estimated 30 thousand people in the County who don’t have a family doctor, including being able to provide community paramedic health calls to these orphaned patients.
