Both a neighbour living across the street, and the managing director of an industrial outlet nextdoor have raised concerns about a series of four and six storey apartment blocks forming part of a subdivision plan at Fourth and McNab in northeast Arnprior.
Fourth Avenue resident Frank Guindon says he was out of the country a year ago and couldn’t bring up his issues at an earlier public meeting.
He worries about collateral damage from potential blasting, both to adjacent residential properties, and Town infrastructure.
Ralph Anzarouth of Nylene, a nylon manufacturing facility, says industry and residential development make for possibly poor neighbours- indicating there are traffic volume concerns and potential prevailing wind issues to be addressed.
The developer also spoke to the public ZOOM meeting, citing forthcoming site plan adjustments- and his willingness to work with the community to find acceptable solutions where possible.
Comments expressed at the public meeting form part of the official record, and can be raised before the Local Planning Appeals Tribunal if efforts toward amenable compromises aren’t made.
