The adage, “the best laid plans” has come true with regards to Ontario’s Vaccine rollout, and the local program which is dependent on the completion of serum deliveries to the Province’s hot spots.
Eric Hanna, the Chief Executive Officer of Arnprior Regional Health, says that while initially the local area was slated to receive the Moderna vaccine, it looks as if they’ve found a way to make just-in-time deliveries of the Pfizer formula which requires storage at -70 degrees.
The ARH CEO says long-term care homes remain a first priority, with a tentative target date of completion over the next two and a half months.
In the interim all of the paperwork is being completed to assure everything is ready to begin inoculations.
