The ATV season on both the Algonquin and K&P Recreational Trails came to an end December 1st, clearing the path for snowmobile users.
The Government of Ontario is on-side, having acknowledged that physical activity is an important part of staying healthy, and that “trails servicing snowmobiles will be allowed to remain open” if they are in compliance with public health guidelines.
The County of Renfrew advises that you visit the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs Interactive Trail Guide at the OFSC website for which trails are open and good to go.
The County assures you that all COVID protocols apply- keep your distance, make sure your party is ten or fewer riders, refrain from touching up anything on the trails and always follow safety regulations.
Remember to travel only on open areas of the trail and stay off of private roads and lands.
OPP officers are already out on trail patrols making sure you stick to all regulations and protocols that keep us all safe.
