The Quebec government has sent out a COVID-19 alert to remind residents of all COVID-19 rules and health recommendations.
Premier Francois Legault says police are going to crack down on people who aren’t respecting the rules and start handing out tickets of up to six-thousand-dollars.
Legault is holding off on closing non-essential businesses and putting the province back into lockdown — for now.
The COVID-19 alert said:
“This is a public health alert issued by Québec Alert Ready in force for all of Québec.
The public health emergency remains in effect to protect lives.
Gatherings contribute to the transmission of COVID-19.
All gatherings remain prohibited in red zones, in public or private places, indoors or outdoors.
Fines may be imposed without prior notice.
Police presence has been increased.
You are asked to comply with public health instructions.
Let’s act together to protect ourselves and others.”
