The Shared Services Report for the seven municipality “Local Efficiency Group” had to be received by the participating members by Friday, December 4th- and that information communicated to Queen’s Park.
Arnprior Mayor Walter Stack says the group, consisting of Greater Madawaska Township, Admaston-Bromley, Whitewater Region, Horton, McNab-Braeside, Renfrew and his community are likely to spend considerable time discussing the 400 page document in the New Year, and deciding where the areas of collaboration lie- either collectively, or between individuals municipalities lie.
Stack says that, in his mind, one of the important aspects of the exercise was what it fostered.
The municipal members of the Local Efficiency Group, along with administrative support will now explore possible avenues of fiscal cooperation included in, but not limited to, the consultants report.
