The Teachers Against Poverty Christmas Program is more important this year than ever before.
Saturday marks the debut of TAP Trees of Hope.
It’s a friendly competition wherein families will benefit, and your business or organization can help.
Provide and Decorate a tree that will be on display at the TAP Christmas Headquarters, 124 John Street, from Saturday through to December 11th.
The community votes its favourites.
The winning tree receives a 300 dollar prize. One tree will be raffled off, and the other awarded to winners of this year’s silent auction.
Teachers Against Poverty also encourages your family to become a donor family in one or more of five different ways.
At TAP’s Headquarters on John Street, families will be identified by number- and you can support them by purchasing items from a wish list, making a monetary or gift card donation, donating a turkey dinner-or component items thereto, or donating items for gift baskets.
Because of the pandemic, items cannot be accepted at the schools, but can be at 124 John.
Financial donations are welcome by etransfer at teachersagainstpoverty@gmail.com
