Renfrew Fire Department is replacing a 25 year old vehicle in their fleet with a new pumper rescue truck.
Fire Chief Kevin Welsh says the truck is to be delivered in October of 2021 and is expected to be showcased in the fire hall’s 100th anniversary celebrations. He adds, a new fire truck for the fleet is not just about protecting the community, but providing a safe, reliable vehicle for the town’s fire fighters as well.
The new vehicle will cost nearly 700 thousand dollars and is part of the town’s capital budget and fleet replacement plan.
