A handful of Ottawa Valley municipalities will get to see military aircrafts flyby on Remembrance Day.
With the Renfrew County and District Health Unit recommending you don’t attend in person events this year on November 11th, this provides a perfect opportunity to celebrate Remembrance Day while keeping your distance from others.
The Royal Canadian Air Force says three CH-147F Chinook helicopters will fly over Deep River, Pembroke and Renfrew.
Those around Bancroft can expect to see a CC-130H Hercules aircraft in action.
There will also be four CF-18 Hornets flying over Ottawa.
The Royal Canadian Air Force says the flybys will be carried out at various times throughout the day.
The helicopters are expected to fly over Renfrew at 11:00am.
The choppers will fly over the Arnprior Cenotaph at 11:45AM, followed by a circle over Branch 174 on Daniel Street.
(Cenotaph ceremonies in Arnprior were pre-taped several days ago for presentation today.)
The military says during flybys aircrafts will fly at minimum altitudes above the highest obstacle in their path.
The flybys are dependant on the weather and flying conditions.

#RCDHU recommends staying home this year for Remembrance Day, to attend a ceremony virtually. Consider holding a ceremony at home with members of your household.
