The Virtual Hike for Hospice event raised $156,000.
Hospice Renfrew says since March they’ve seen donations decline and events cancelled.
Several participants joined together to raise $49,000, Team Dunbar held several fundraisers throughout the year to raise $65,000 and Gerald Tracy and MPP John Yakabuski took part in the “Twins Bike Campaign” which raised $42,000.
Hospice Renfrew relies on community support as the province only funds about 50% of operational costs.
Executive Director Marjorie Joly thanks the community for their continued, faithful support saying your generosity will make an immediate difference in the lives of the families they serve.
The Virtual Hike for Hospice event was held Saturday, October 10th.
