Local MP Cheryl Gallant wants the Canadian government to give Arnprior Aerospace a fair shake when it comes to bidding on projects. Gallant says Arnprior aerospace is a leading manufacturer.
But Pontiac MP William Amos says Canada’s aerospace industry is export driven.
Gallant has a suggestion for the Federal Liberals as they move forward with bids for future purchases.
Amos countered, stating the aerospace sector is strongly supported through policy.
Gallant says Canadian aerospace companies provide 160 thousand Canadian jobs and contribute more than 20 billion dollars to the economy.
