Developmental scrimmages between the Pembroke Lumber Kings and Renfrew Wolves continue this weekend. Earlier this week, the Central Canada Hockey League announced on its website that the league was moving into Stage 3 of the return-to-play plan. Since the Lumber Kings and Renfrew Wolves are both located in Renfrew County, they are allowed to play each other. According to Commissioner of the CCHL Kevin Abrams, the league will continue to hold scrimmages until the end of October. Renfrew and Pembroke will play a short, home and home series beginning tonight.
