OPP detachments across the Ottawa Valley are taking part in Operation Impact this Thanksgiving long weekend. The 4-day campaign will look to crack down on aggressive, distracted and alcohol/drug-impaired driving as well as seat belt non-compliance. Drivers are advised to cut the distractions, buckle up, obey the posted speed limits and arrive alive – drive sober. Over the long weekend, the OPP will be highly visible supporting the campaign throughout the detachment area, ensuring drivers are doing their part to keep themselves, their passengers and those with whom they share the road safe.
