A 36 year-old commercial vehicle operator may have though he’d sneak through under cover of darkness, but Killaloe OPP nabbed the individual in Algonquin Provincial Park in the wee hours of September 22nd.
Police stopped the unit about 4:15AM.
It was towing road equipment and officers charged the operator, from Huntsville, with thirteen Highway Traffic Act offences.
These include: Operating an Unsafe Commercial Motor Vehicle; two counts of Operating a Vehicle and Failing to Display a Device; Failure To Surrender Driver’s Licence; Defective CMV Braking System; Failing to Ensure Performance Standards; Failure to Surrender a Completed Daily Inspection Report; Driving a CMV with Major Defect; Driving a Commercial Vehicle Without Required Inspection; Over-width Vehicle; Draw Trailer with No Plate; Draw Trailer with No Permit; Driving Motor Vehicle and Failing to Display Two Plates and Wheel Brake Rendered Inoperable.
The individual was issued a summons to appear in court.
