**UPDATE 3 COMMUNITY CASES IN THE PEMBROKE AREA HAVE BEEN CONFIRMED**
The Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) is reporting three new cases of COVID-19 today (Wednesday, September 23rd).
The case summary from the RCDHU showing the location of the new cases has not been released yet.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 48, with 36 cases resolved and one death the health unit is aware of 11 active cases.
With the three additional cases today that marks 15 positive tests in Renfrew County and District during the month of September alone.
During March and April our area only reported 15 cases.
The health unit is also showing 744 tests completed in the past 24-hours after an increase of 8 tests was reflected on the case summary the day before.
A total of 27,340 COVID-19 tests have been completed across Renfrew County and District.
COVID-19 testing continues to be available for local residents.
