The Upper Ottawa Valley OPP charged five motorists during the first two weeks school busses were back on the roads.
Local police conducted a focused patrol across the detachment area in school zones and along bus routes.
Officers laid two charges for failing to stop for a school bus, two charges for speeding in a community safety zone and one charge for failure to wear a seatbelt.
The Upper Ottawa Valley detachment of the OPP says officers will continue to make traffic safety a priority in school zones and on bus routes throughout the school year.
