The Renfrew detachment of the OPP has charged a boater with impaired driving related offences after they needed a tow to the marina in Arnprior.
The Arnprior Fire Department called in police over the long weekend (Sunday, September 6th) for a vessel being towed due to engine trouble.
As a result of the investigation a 67-year-old from Arnprior has been charged with impaired driving and driving with blood alcohol concentration over 80.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in Renfrew for court on November 4th.
