On Wednesday September 2nd, officers with the Renfrew OPP Detachment were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle on Gillan Road in Renfrew.
The vehicle was located on Sixth Street and Darryl Spicer age 33, of the Township of North Frontenac has been charged with theft under $5000 of a motor vehicle and possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.
Companion Stephanie Sproule, 28, also of North Frontenac has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.
Both were released on an Undertaking to appear in Renfrew court on November 20th.
On Sunday (September 6th), officers with the Renfrew OPP Detachment were dispatched to a dispute on Bonnechere Street North in the Town of Renfrew.
As a result of the investigation, a 55 year-old Renfrew man has been charged with one count of Assault. The accused was released on an Undertaking and is slated to appear in Renfrew Court on October 3rd.
As well, officers dealt with 12 domestic disputes during the past week.
Of those, one accused has been charged with one count of assault and one count of mischief.
Another accused has been charged with assault, assault with a weapon, uttering threats, mischief and fail to comply with probation order

Busy Labour day weekend for Impaireds in the Renfrew OPP Detachment area.
On Saturday (Sept. 5th), an officer with the Renfrew OPP Detachment conducted a traffic stop on Daniel Street South in the Town of Arnprior. A 31 year old Palmer Rapids woman was charged with impaired driving, and possession of a schedule I substance. Her passenger, a 34 year old Brudenell-Lyndoch Raglan man was charged with possession of a schedule I substance. Both of the accused will appear in Renfrew court on November 4th.
Also Saturday, a detachment officer was sent to investigate a traffic complaint on Highway 60, and an accused was stopped on Raglan Street North. A 41 year old man from North Algona-Wilberforce was charged with impaired driving, and over 80 and will also appear November 4th.
We told you Tuesday about the motorcycle/side-by-side collision on Calabogie Road. While officers were directing traffic, an ATV rider lost her patience and began raising a ruckus. A 32 year-old Cornwall woman was charged with refusing to provide a breath sample and will appear in Renfrew court October 21st.
Add one prohibited driver to the mix and the story’s done.
On Sunday August 30th, a traffic stop on Baskin Drive West in Arnprior resulted in a 47 year-old man being charged with driving while prohibited.
The Arnprior resident will appear in Renfrew Court October 7th.
