The local unemployment numbers are up this month.
Stats Canada has released the numbers for August 2020 showing a 10.1% unemployment rate for our area, compared to 10% in July of 2020.
For the Kingston to Pembroke region in August of 2019 only 6% of the labour force was unemployed.
The monthly employment numbers show an increase of 141,800 jobs in Ontario during the month of August.
