For parents that are wondering, there is a plan for school buses when students return to the classroom next month. It was announced recently that students in all of our local school boards will be returning full-time on September 8th. Parents who have children that take a bus to school can be assured that precautions will be in place while on the bus as well. That’s according to Robert White, General Manager of the Renfrew County Joint Transportation Consortium.
White also says that after the morning run, all the buses will have their high touch areas sanitized. At the end of the day, the General Manager says buses will then receive a deep clean. All school bus drivers will also be wearing a mask and face shield. White notes that parents and others not registered on a certain bus will not be allowed to board for safety reasons.
