Arnprior Mayor Walter Stack has released his August message to residents.
Stack notes that as we settle in to Stage 3 of the provincial recovery plan, some things are getting back to a slightly different normal while others are still restricted.
Noting the possibility of COVID flare-ups the Mayor reminds residents to continue to remain vigilant in following health guidelines.
Stack says a staycation begins at home.
It should include a visit to the Arnprior and District Museum, which is currently featuring the exhibit, Unmasking Influenza– dealing with the Spanish Flu pandemic of a century ago.
Robert Simpson Park/Beach and McLean Ave Beach are great places to spend the day.
Check out the Town’s trail network to reconnect with nature in your own backyard.
While you’re out and about, shop local and eat local; help our local businesses on their road to recovery.
Be kind to others. COVID-19 is a stressor that affects everyone differently.
Please poop and scoop. It was an issue before the pandemic and remains so.
Remember ATVs are only allowed to cross Town streets en route to trails where they are allowed.
They must be insured, and the ATV speed limit is 20 km/h in Town.
