The Township of McNab-Braeside is redoubling efforts to enforce sanity at the Burnstown Beach.
Mayor Tom Peckett says Council discussed over-crowding, traffic safety and littering issues at its prime swimming gem at Tuesday’s municipal meeting.
Peckett says a number of measures will be undertaken.
The Mayor says boat-launch patrons are impeded by those who’ve parked up to go swimming, and Highway 508 isn’t a parking lot either.
The Township will ask the County to lower the speed limit on 508 at the Burnstown Beach to 60 km/h, and post no parking signs along the highway.
The McNab-Braeside Mayor says you cannot legislate common sense, but you can give it a helping hand.
