The Renfrew County Child Poverty Action Network’s “Good Egg” program, which encouraged the cultivation of gardening habits in the school yard has morphed into CPAN’s “Growing at Home” initiative- same concept, different location.
CPAN’s Lyn Smith tells us about the transformation.
Because of the COVID crisis and the closure of schools, CPAN got creative, and began the Growing At Home program.
Three hundred seed packages have been sent to area families so far- and it’s not too late to get involved.
The CPAN seed packages are all materials that have a quick growing cycle, so you can be enjoying the fruits of your labours with a 30-day turnaround.
