The Renfrew County District School Board (RCDSB) and Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario (ETFO), representing Educational Support Personnel, have reached a tentative agreement for terms and conditions for the 2019 to 2022 collective agreement.
Negations started virtually in June and details of the agreement are confidential until the ratification by both parties, likely in September.
Chair of the RCDSB, Susan Humphries, says both sides worked together in search of the common goal of supporting students.
ETFO Renfrew County Education Support Personnel Local President, Colleen Mackin, believes it’s a fair agreement which respects the needs of members.
The Education Support Personal local represents over 250 employees including educational assistants, communicative disorder assistants, library assistants, inclusion support assistants and supervisory assistants.
