Face mask or face coverings are now required at all closed or partially covered public places across Quebec. Outaouais health officials say the rules include people 12 years of age and older. Only people with respiratory problems recognized by a health professional and young people under 12 are exempt. Also, personnel providing care and services must wear a mask. Basic measures such as physical distancing and proper handwashing must also continue. If a person does not have a face cover, especially in exceptional circumstances, a mask will be provided by the Outaouais health unit.
