When you turn one hundred years old, it can be an excuse for a celebration- even one spanning two communities.
Eddie Levesque of Arnprior is the Town’s newest centenarian, and Mayor Walter Stack, a lifelong family friend, says the celebration began locally this past Saturday.
Stack says that the following day Eddie’s offspring arranged a drive-by in nearby Renfrew.
Eddie also collected a certificate commemorating his longevity from Renfrew Mayor, Don Eady.
The recognition doesn’t stop there.
Walter Stack tells us Levesque early-on acquired the nickname, “Fast Eddie”
Although “Fast Eddie” will have a street named in his honour in a new subdivision this summer (due to his service as a veteran), the speed on Levesque Boulevard shall not exceed the posted limit.
