The Surete du Quebec have taken a repeat offender off the road.
On Tuesday morning at 9AM officers from the MRC Pontiac Station observed an off-road vehicle travelling along Poirier Street in Mansfield.
The 61 year-old man from Fort-Coulonge failed a breath test at the station.
His infractions added up to a fine of just over three thousand dollars, as the ATV was unregistered, and being driven on a public road.
The individual has a previous history of impaired convictions and his blood alcohol was twice the legal limit.
The off-road vehicle was impounded for a thirty-day period and the man’s licence was suspended.
He will address the charges in court in Campbell’s Bay at a later date.
