Members of the Canadian Armed Forces and veterans will walk continuously from Garrison Petawawa to Parliament Hill to raise money for Wounded Warriors Canada.
The group of four current military members and veterans will walk a distance of 168 km with weighted vests doing 22 push-ups every hour on the hour.
The charity event is to raise money for Wounded Warriors Canada to honour and support Canada’s ill and injured Canadian Armed Forces members, Veterans, First Responders, and their families.
The walk will take place on Saturday, August 8th and has a goal of raising $22,000. As of July 8th, 20% of the fundraising goal had been hit with $4,368 raised. You can make donations online here.
