The Renfrew County District Health Unit is sending out a notice about possible COVID-19 exposure. Yesterday, the health unit confirmed a new case of the virus in Renfrew County and District, the first in almost three weeks. Health officials say that the person who tested positive for COVID-19 visited Walmart in Pembroke back on Monday, June 22nd between 11am and 2pm, and Shoppers Drug Mart in Petawawa on Wednesday, June 24th from 2:30 until 4pm. The health unit says if you visited either of those locations during these times, self-monitor for symptoms. If you develop symptoms, immediately self-isolate and contact Renfrew County Virtual Triage Assessment Centre. Renfrew County and District now have 26 confirmed cases of the virus with 23 residents recovered and one person has died, the health unit now says it’s aware of two active cases in the district.
