Upper Ottawa Valley OPP confirm the body found near River Road in Pembroke over the weekend is that of 17-year-old Myrah Rogers. The cause of death and circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation by the UOV OPP with the assistance of the Regional Coroner’s Officer, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch. However, foul play is not suspected. Rogers was reported missing to police back on June 20th. While this is the second young person found dead in the community in less than two weeks, the OPP would like to assure the public that these incidents pose no public safety risk. Police say the investigation has found no direct connection between the two cases.
