
Our local Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) was one of the first to get a hair cut in the Ottawa Valley this morning.
Grandma Kate’s Barber Shop marked the reopening as we move into Stage 2 with a special haircut for Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke MPP and Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry John Yakabuski.
There’s been lines outside of many barber shops, hair salons, and other personal service setting in our area as the province eases up on restrictions.
Hairdressers, beauty salons, tattoo parlours, shopping malls, restaurant patios, outdoor splash pads, swimming pools, beaches, private campgrounds and tour guide services are all able to reopen.
Child care services are also able to reopen starting today.
As part of Stage 2, residents in Ontario will be able to gather in groups of 10. Weddings and funerals are able to proceed as long as they follow gathering limits.
