With the arrival of the COVID-19 crisis, and self-isolation restrictions under Emergency legislation, incidents of domestic violence are on the rise.
Renfrew OPP say officers in Arnprior and Renfrew investigated 5 domestic disputes during the past week.
Two incidents saw charges laid.
One accused has been charged with assault, while one accused has been charged with assault, mischief, obstructing a peace officer, theft under $5000.00, two counts of failure to comply with undertaking and two counts of faiing to comply with a probation order.
