The Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) is not confirming any new cases of COVID-19 today (Friday, May 29th).
The local health unit saw a spike in three new cases yesterday (May 28th), which were all reported in the Renfrew area. Those individuals are listed as healthcare workers employed outside of the county and district.
The RCDHU has confirmed 23 cases of COVID-19, 15 are considered resolved and one person has died. All 7 individuals who are listed as active case are in self-isolation. The numbers released from the health unit at noon today show an increase in 32 tests over the past 24-hours. A total of 3179 people have now been tested for COVID-19 in our area.
