Residents in Renfrew County can get tested for COVID-19 at one of several drive-thru swabbing clinics over the next couple of days. Paramedics and healthcare workers in Renfrew County are attending 4 sites a day, 6 days a week.
This morning (Friday, May 29th), a testing location was set up in Cobden between 9:00am and 11:00am. More testing locations are open this afternoon from 2:00pm to 4:00pm in Pembroke at 7 International Drive and the same time in Arnprior at 77 James Street. Tonight residents in the Renfrew area can go to Ma-te-way between 6:00pm and 8:00pm to get swabbed. On Saturday there will be more testing locations set up in Petawawa, Deep River, Eganville and Barry’s Bay.
Those who want to get tested for COVID-19 are asked to call the RC VTAC line to pre-register. You don’t have to leave your vehicle when you attend the drive thru swabbing clinics, but you should wear a face mask or covering and bring your health card and driver’s license.
