The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) has reported a small forest fire between Deep River and Rolphton. The MNRF says the 0.2 hectare blaze is currently not being held and was first reported Tuesday (May 26th) night just at 7:47 pm. The forest fire is near Highway 17 in Point Alexander. The 7 hectare forest fire that started last week in Mackey is now listed as out.
