Yesterday (May 26th) Tim Horton’s on O’Brien Rd had customers wish their baker, Doug Luty a happy birthday when they came up to the Drive-Thru speaker. Many people cannot spend their birthdays with friends or family and that was the case for Luty as well. Because of social distancing, he cannot see his sister or mom. His sister Sandra went to the news to get Renfrew residents to go wish him a happy birthday. Tim Hortons followed suit and put balloons and signs up to celebrate. One customer even gave Luty $20 for pizza dinner last night and many wished him well on his day. He was especially surprised by all the wishes since he had no idea his sister even started this all, Renfrew showed their true spirit coming out and celebrating uniquely.
