Horton Township Council has passed its 2020 budget.
The document was approved by councillors in a virtual session Tuesday night, and calls for a 2% levy increase.
This means on the Township portion of your taxes, municipal ratepayers will see an increase of $10.92 for every 100 thousand dollars of your assessment.
On the revenue side of the ledger, Horton will see Ontario Municipal Partnership Funding (OMPF) of 232,500 dollars as well as just over 85 thousand from Ontario’s Community Infrastructure Fund.
It is expected that a Special Council Meeting will be slated for next week to pass the Horton Township Tax Rates By-Law.
