No matter what graph you look at, the pandemic has put a pause on April numbers for the Renfrew County Real Estate Board.
Residential sales activity totaled 94 units in April 2020; the lowest numbers recorded since the early 1990s.
Sales were off 50.5% from April 2019, and the fourth month of the year was bad enough to drag year-to-date numbers down 10.2% from the same period last year.
There were 141 new residential listings in April 2020. This was a decrease of 67% on a year-over-year basis.
The dollar value of all home sales in April 2020 was $28.1 million; dropping by 48.6% from the same month in 2019.
The average price of homes sold in April was $298,769, that’s up 3.8% from April a year ago.
