While the Pontiac sub-region of the Outaouais has only seen five COVID cases throughout the outbreak, the rest of the Outaouais Region is also getting good news.
The public health department (CISSS) has been able to close its hot zone at La Petite-Nation longterm care facility, where seven residents who had come down with the virus have now recovered.
The few remaining residents who had shown symptoms have now had two consecutive negative tests.
There are 426 confirmed cases in Outaouais as of today (Wednesday May 20th), and 11 people have died.
157 cases remain active.
