Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is announcing support for veterans dealing with chronic pain.
Trudeau says those who have worn the Canadian flag deserve our support.
Trudeau says the Chronic Pain Centre of Excellence will be launched at McMaster University in Hamilton. He adds this centre will focus on national research, training and education to give veterans the support they deserve.
The Centre of Excellence says more than 40% of Canadian Veterans suffer from chronic pain and they will focus on pain management research and evidence-based therapies that address Veterans’ complex chronic pain challenges and needs.
