The Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) says over the past 24-hours another 56 tests for COVID-19 have been completed.
The numbers released today (Thursday, May 14th) show 171 people in our area are still waiting for test results to come back.
The local health unit has confirmed 17 cases, one case is under investigation, 13 are considered resolved and one person has died from complications due to the virus.
A break down of case information from the RCDHU shows 7-community cases, one case in a long-term care or retirement home and 10 health care workers who have tested positive for COVID-19.
The information from the health unit shows 6 of the 10 local health care workers who have tested positive for COVID-19 are employed outside of Renfrew County and District.
