The idea of bringing the Whitewater Kings Jr.B hockey club to Petawawa has fallen through. The team will be staying in Cobden for the foreseeable future. With that announcement coming last week, Owner of the Pembroke Lumber Kings Alex Armstrong says he has hired former GM of the Renfrew Timberwolves Brent Sylvester as the new General Manager for the Whitewater Kings.
The Whitewater Kings serve as a farm team for the Jr. A Lumber Kings. Armstrong had hopes to move the Cobden team to Petawawa for the upcoming season, however the relocation was eventually not approved.
