Arnprior Mayor Walter Stack’s weekly message highlights the fact this is Emergency Preparedness Week- and the COVID crisis is ample proof we can never be too prepared.
Stack indicates the Town’s Operations Department is conducting spring hydrant flushing, and the process should last throughout the month.
You may notice a slight discolouration to the water when your area is being flushed. It is not hazardous, and can be cleared by running your cold water tap.
The Mayor says the Premier has begun making announcements about potential re-openings, all to follow conditions contained in the document, A Framework for Reopening our Province.
Stack notes the great efforts businesses are making to adapt their shopping procedures to the COVID-19 challenges, and this is even more reason to shop local and support them.
Self-isolation is flattening the curve, so thanks to residents for taking the message to heart and thanks to all the front-line workers doing their best to keep us all safe.
