COVID-19 testing by paramedics in Renfrew County has been taken to the next level.
EMS Chief Mike Nolan says initially paramedics would go to a residence, and, for example, test returning snowbirds individually for the virus.
Nolan says that, in conjunction with the RCDHU, they are now doing group testing at pop-up locations for health care workers and others.
The EMS Chief says they have been testing health workers and long-term care workers at various sites around Renfrew County for one to two hours per location.
It is the RCDHU that identifies those to be tested and where.
