Ontario is expanding the list of essential workers that can get childcare during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The list now includes workers in grocery stores, pharmacies, truck drivers, retirement homes, Canadian Armed Forces members, those in correctional services and more. You can get a full list of workers eligible for emergency child care online here.
Premier Doug Ford says while our frontline workers are looking after us, we need to make sure we’re looking after them and their families. Since the emergency child care was introduced last month almost 100 centers and another 40 home care agencies have opened across the province.
