The community is pulling together to support the Renfrew and Area Food Bank. The local organization has seen an increase in need and recently received over 3000 dollars in donations to help meet that need. The Renfrew Millionaires Hockey team pitched in 1100 dollars, while the Trinity St. Andrews Thrift Store pledged a cheque for 1250 dollars as their charitable donation from sales. In addition, the Flower Factory in downtown Renfrew raised another 870 dollars through their daffodil sales. That brings the local business’s donation to over 1800 dollars, thanks to daffodil sales, in the last three weeks. The Food Bank is no longer accepting donations of perishable food items to limit the spread of COVID-19, but you can make a financial donation by dropping off a cheque in their secure mailbox at the Renfrew Armouries or you can etransfer your donation to renfrewfoodbank@nrtco.net
