COVID-19 continues to have a devastating impact in Almonte and long-term care homes across Lanark County. Over the weekend another four people at Almonte Country Haven died bringing the total number of deaths in that facility to 23.
Last week (April 16th), the health unit had reported 63 cases of COVID-19 across Lanark County. The Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit is investigating a total of 247 cases and 32 deaths. New lab confirmed COVID-19 case information in Lanark and District is released Monday to Friday only.
Across Ontario 606 new cases of COVID-19 are being reported with 31 more deaths. Ontario now has over 11,000 confirmed cases with 584 deaths, however almost half of the cases have recovered.
