It’s a trend that has been happening around the globe and now it’s coming to the Ottawa Valley. At 3pm this afternoon, a parade of firefighters from the Pembroke, Laurentian Valley and Petawawa Fire Departments will parade from River Road in Pembroke to Deacon Street and proceed to park on Deacon Street across from the hospital, possibly accompanied by other first responders from the region, where they will stay and applaud the staff of the Pembroke Regional Hospital for their efforts to date in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The parade is expected to last about 15 minutes.
