The province of Ontario has announced one time funding for parents and caregivers. Education Minister Stephen Lecce says the government will provide $200 for every child aged 0 to 12 and another $250 for children or youth aged 0 to 21 with special needs.
Lecce says last week on the advice of the Chief Medical Officer of Health they announced schools would remain closed until May and private schools and day care facilities need to remain closed until at least April 13th.
The Education Minister says we must work together in the fight against COVID-19. He reminds all residents to continue to do your part to practice physical distancing, wash your hands and stay home.
